Experience
I am a trained, accredited and experienced Integrative Psychotherapist (UK, 2023) and Psychotherapeutic Counsellor (UK, 2020) with my initial training in Art Therapy (The Netherlands, 2006) who specialises in developmental trauma. My fields of specialism are victims of crime, domestic violence and sexual violence as well as cared for children, fostering and adoption. I work predominantly with children and young people but can on occasion work with adults. I am based in Jarrow and I also work in all communities throughout North and South Tyneside, Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland and Northumberland. I am a proud member of Community Counselling Cooperative, an approved post adoption therapy provider and a private practitioner.
Areas of Expertise
I specialise in Children and Young People, I have worked with victims of crime for many years especially individuals and families that have experienced or are experiencing domestic violence. I also specialise in working with individuals who identify or are diagnosed with neurodivergence. I also work with individuals who are in care, fostered, soft fostered and adopted. I am also an approved therapy provider for post adoption services. I use a variety of media by particularly Art and Sand Tray. I work individually, with siblings and with groups.
