Hello...

My name is Baljit Kamal. I have twenty-five years’ of experience working in the private, public and voluntary Sector.

In 2013 out of interest I enrolled on a course, ‘‘Awareness in Bereavement Care’’. The course was organised by a charity called, Cruse Bereavement Care. The effects of loss is something we all experience at some point in our lives. Unknown to me at the time that this interest would be life changing and would turn into a passion. Not only did this course inspire me, but it also gave me the motivation to retrain as a professional therapist.

It was liberating to walk into an environment where everyone could take off their “mask” and express their true authentic self and discuss a topic which is inevitable, without fear of judgement or taboo.

For a number of years, I worked within the charity setting to support clients. My interest in the mental health industry grew and in 2019, I transitioned to this field.

Therapy with me...

My aim is to offer a relaxed & non-judgemental space for you to explore your concerns and thoughts when life becomes difficult/ uncertain. All sessions are private & confidential.

I also facilitate the “building resilience programme”. This is an eight week programme covering the London/north west region on behalf of a national charity supporting families who have been bereaved by road deaths.

"I reached out to Baljit when my mother passed away. I spoke to Baljit for an initial discussion on the telephone and I was immediately struck by her warmth and kindness. I had no hesitation in proceeding to making an appointment, which then started my journey".I was initially looking for grief counselling and her profile attracted me for that purpose. She helped me hugely through this time, explaining the stages of grief and offering support and guidance throughout. She took time to understand what was going on all around me and encouraged me to be kind to myself. She has provided me with new techniques and concepts which I now use daily. Every session Baljit suggests new resources, be it handouts, podcasts or authors/books, which I seek out to further enhance my well-being.I would encourage anyone looking for help to reach out to Baljit. I know I am so grateful that I did".
