Hello...

Hello, and a warm welcome to my profile.

My name is Frankie. I am a BACP-registered counsellor, and UKCP registered trainee integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor. I work in Oxford and across the UK remotely. I am experienced in supporting a diverse range of experiences. I am an LGBTQIA+ therapist, with lived experience of neurodivergence.

You are very welcome to explore my profile and to reach out with any questions.

Therapy with me...

There are many reasons why somebody may consider seeking counselling – including (but certainly not limited to) coping with burnout, anxiety, the stressors and pressures of modern society, experiencing life transitions, or navigating complex relationships. Whatever your reasons, counselling can offer a safe, accepting and insightful environment in which to process difficult and overwhelming things with another person.

You determine what you would like from counselling. My aim is to provide a kind, informed, genuine and non-judgemental space wherein you can explore, according to your pace and comfort, some of what could be happening for you - past, present and future.

Reaching out in seeking counselling is not always easy and so requires a sensitivity and respect on the part of the receiving therapist. If you are ready to take that step, then I would be glad to hear from you.

Experience

I work integratively, meaning that I aim to understand and honour the different parts and experiences that make up a person in their fullness. It also means that, throughout therapy, I adapt my approach to suit your unique needs. To do so, I draw on different approaches to counselling – mainly the relational, person-centred, existential and psychoanalytic. Trauma-informed and anti-oppressive principles are at the heart of my approach.

Beyond counselling, I have seven years of full-time experience working relationally and in caring roles with children and young people across various settings, including residential care, education, supported housing, youth and grassroots organisations, and I possess extensive trauma-informed care experience. I have several years of coaching and mentoring experience and currently facilitate creative psychoeducation groups for young people.

Areas of Expertise

Neuroaffirming practice

Whether in therapy, mentoring, psychoed or consultancy, I specialize in supporting neurodivergent individuals, particularly those with ADHD and Autism. My approach is shaped by my own lived experience of neurodivergence, and commitment to anti-oppressive practices and inclusivity. I believe in building relationships that facilitate insight, ease and growth, combining creativity, experience, person-centredness and a trauma-informed practice to do so.

If you need a specialist, I am able to offer therapy to people who are affected by Learning Disability, Neurodivergence
