Hello...
Hi - I’m Harriet, and I provide weekly psychotherapy (via Zoom or telephone). I can also provide walk and talk sessions in Leicestershire (I am based in Aylestone in Leicester and will travel for up to c. 20 minutes to meet for this).
All the sessions currently available in my diary can be booked as telephone / zoom - you can contact me if you want to check other availability for either remote or walk and talk sessions.
I am registered with UKCP (the UK Council for Psychotherapy) having trained with the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute (2019-2023). I do offer concessions for those with low incomes (including students/trainees).
Please do contact me for more information: please note that I sometimes have a waiting list.
Therapy with me...
When you meet with me as your therapist, your experiences, feelings, and the needs you express from our time together are kept at the heart of our work.
Some people arrive with a clear sense of what they want from therapy. For others, it can feel more uncertain — involving a process of exploring different aspects of life, whether to clarify what feels most important to focus on or to make sense of how different experiences connect and influence one another.
However you arrive, you will be met with care and warmth, where your voice matters. Wherever you find yourself in seeking therapy, that is the right place to begin. This is how I want to turn up as a therapist - and also as someone open to hearing how therapy is experienced.
Experience
I have provided short-, medium- and long-term psychotherapy in different settings, including the voluntary and private sectors, and in Higher Education.
As a person-centred psychotherapist, my commitment is to developing each individual therapeutic relationship to enable my client to access their knowledge and wisdom to navigate life’s challenges.
Areas of Expertise
Clients bring so much in their lives that listing areas of special interest and experience is not to suggest that clients have to prioritise a specific area of need.
Chronic health conditions
Disability
Mental distress
Family life
Work related stress and professional uncertainty
Supporting workers and students from adult education settings (Further and Higher Education)
Supporting researchers managing personal issues in the process of their work (e.g. around identity, discrimination, lived experience).
If you need a specialist, I am able to offer therapy to people who are affected by Learning Disability, Neurodivergence, Personality Disorder, Psychosis, Schizophrenia
