Hello...
I draw on evidence-informed, mindfulness-based methods alongside sensory and somatic approaches to support nervous system regulation, emotional safety, and processing. I also integrate creative expression as a therapeutic tool for voice, self-understanding, belonging, and repair. My experience of immersing myself in diverse communities through shared daily responsibilities has strengthened my understanding of connection, responsibility, and resilience. I also bring extensive travel and cross-cultural experience, which helps me meet clients from all walks of life with cultural sensitivity, respect, and clinical attunement.
Therapy with me...
I work with a trauma-informed, integrative approach, using creative and art-based therapies to support emotional safety, nervous system regulation, and healing. For children and young people, I create a gentle, attuned space where difficult experiences can be expressed through images, play, and sensory activities—often easier than putting feelings into words. This can help children make sense of what has happened, promote emotional release, and build self-esteem and confidence through creative mastery. For trauma and PTSD-related difficulties, art therapy can support paced access to memories that may be held as sensations, thoughts, or images, helping clients process at a pace that feels safe. I also offer parent/child dyadic art psychotherapy to strengthen the parent-child bond, support secure connection, and address insecure attachment patterns through shared creative engagement. Throughout, we focus on coping skills, resilience, and personal growth to empower clients and improve wel
Experience
I have substantial experience working with children, adolescents and adults in private practice and multi-agency settings. This has included Family and Children’s Centres, mainstream and specialist education settings (including supported and independent schools), community and local authority services, NHS-linked pathways, treatment centres, and work with home educators.
You may bring difficulties such as trauma, abuse and neglect, complex developmental trauma or PTSD-related symptoms. You may also be navigating attachment-related challenges, emotional regulation and behavioural difficulties, addiction-related patterns, or sensory and self-regulation needs linked to neurodivergence.
The interventions are need-led and paced, using art-based, somatic and sensorimotor approaches (including guided drawing, sensorimotor body mapping and bilateral techniques), as well as dyadic parent–child work to support secure
Areas of Expertise
I support children and young people with behavioural and emotional challenges, with a strong focus on neurodiversity. I work with ASD, ADHD, ODD and PDA, and Special Educational Needs (SEN) using a strengths-based, understanding-first approach. I also provide trauma-informed support for psychological, emotional and physical trauma—including complex trauma and PTSD resolution—alongside depression, anxiety, grief and loss. I help families navigate break-ups, anger and challenging behaviour, attachment needs, abuse and emotional neglect, and relationship difficulties. I support social and lifestyle impacts too, including histories of alcohol/drug/gambling addiction, dual diagnosis, MVAs, life transitions, self-esteem, spiritual integration and cultural displacement. Alongside this, I work with women’s perinatal, prenatal and postnatal challenges, menopause-related wellbeing, and relationship dynamics—especially when trauma, addiction, mental health and neurodivergence affect family life.
If you need a specialist, I am able to offer therapy to people who are affected by Learning Disability, Neurodivergence, Schizophrenia
