Hello, I am Jane Gurney

I work with individuals from all walks of life I like to think of myself as a caring, nurturing Counsellor & Hypnotherapist helping others find their inner self and be their own autonomous person.

Using a creative side I often work using different exercises, mediums and tools within sessions and have gained extra insight and knowledge in this area attending Creative Therapy workshops on a regular basis. I also attend regular workshops and CPD's within the Hypnotherapy community.

My work is covered by Professional Insurance.

I am on an Accredited Register that has been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

I am regularly Supervised and am an Accredited Member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and am bound by their Ethical Code & Framework. (MNCPS Accred.)

I am also a Registered member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy (MNCH Reg.)

I am an Integrative Counsellor and use techniques from the Person Centred, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis approaches of counselling within a recognised framework.

My Hypnotherapy work is Solution Focused, looking at the here and now and future goals.

As an ADHD Practitioner I can help you navigate through every day life, accepting that this is not a behaviour issue but "who you are".

As a qualified Adult Adoption Counsellor I can now see adult clients privately with issues surrounding adoption. The Government has removed the Ofsted registration requirements for Adoption Counselling of Adults. I am able to counsel Adult Adoptees, Birth Parents and Adoptive Parents.

I thoroughly enjoying working with all my Clients and try to help them achieve their goals and ambitions to achieve a more fulfilled life.

I am also in collaboration with Bosom Buddies Bristol, the Charity supporting women newly diagnosed, going through treatment or post treatment of Breast Cancer.
