I am a fully qualified Life Coach and counsellor trained in person centred, psychodynamic & creative therapy, & Clinical Associate at The Clearing, Newcastle.

Therapy can be painful. At times it may seem that your mood deepens as we revisit & explore your more difficult life experiences. I will support you through this process & in time it will allow you to achieve personal growth, empowerment & ultimately well being. It would be an honour be to part of your therapeutic journey.

Therapy with me...

Therapy is like a bus journey. You have the key & will always be in the driving seat.

I’ll travel alongside you facilitating the therapeutic process & our journey will be at your own pace. We’ll move forwards & backwards exploring the map of your life, as we come to understand what it is that’s brought you here & what is required to help you to progress.

I work eclectically, incorporating creative techniques to aid you in your therapeutic process.

I am offering in person therapy sessions from a discreet location in South Shields with good transport links and ample on street parking for your convenience.

Experience

I have a wealth of experience in supporting children, adults & couples to overcome a wide range of issues such as bereavement, depression, anxiety, trauma, low self esteem & relationship issues..

I have worked as a specialist bereavement counsellor at a hospice for many years , in schools offering counselling to children from the age of 4 upwards & in private practice.

I am also a qualified clinical supervisor and Life Coach.

It’s easy to get stuck in a rut in life. At times we can feel so worn down by our problems that burying our head in the sand seems like the only option.

Whether you’re lost in an addiction to food, alcohol or to your phone, in anxiety that is limiting your enjoyment of life, or in low self-esteem that is holding you back, life coaching can help.

During your first session we will set your SMART goals which will be used to form the structure of your coaching sessions. 80% of your success is your mindset and 20% is your action.

I have particular experience in working with bereavement, and life losses, difficult family dynamics & relationship issues.
