Hello...

Hi, my name's Kyra. I'm a Consultant, Counsellor and Coach at NeuroTribe UK.

I am highly trained to use the arts as a therapeutic tool. My specialism is working with neurodiverse people. Many of my clients are on the autism spectrum, have ADHD, dyslexia or sensory impairments. I work with many issues including low self confidence and self-esteem, recovering from bullying, anxiety and depression.

I am a Lecturer in Counselling at London's top further education college and among other qualifications I have a PG Cert in Counselling from a leading London Institute and over fifteen years' experience of empowering people to move through childhood traumas, suicidal feelings and emotional difficulties.

Both on and offline, my therapy space is a shame-free confidential environment where all are welcome and we work at your pace to reach your goals.

Therapy with me...

My style is integrative, and at it's heart, person-centred. This means we focus on you, a person, in a room with me, another person. I strive to help you understand your own needs better. I don't presume to be able to offer 'solutions', but can offer both a safe space, expertise in psychology, and psycho-education, to help you find your own.

Conversation and creativity are at the centre of my work, and I am trained and experienced in using many artforms as an additional therapeutic tool alongside dialogue.

You will find therapy with me to be both gentle and challenging at times.

Experience

I have over fifteen years of empowering people to overcome and work through life's challenges I have worked on gang prevention projects, as Head of Enrichment and Welfare in a pupil referral unit, and as Lead Honorary Arts Psychotherapist for a leading national drug and alcohol recovery service. I am Founder and Co-Director of NeuroTribe UK specialist organization that provides therapy for neurodiverse children, young people and families and inclusion consultancy for the arts. I have lived experience of parenting a neurodiverse child.

Areas of Expertise

As well as working with low mood, depression, anxiety, suicidal feelings, recovering from bullying and childhood trauma, and addictions, I specialise in working with the anxieties and mental health challenges that can result from coping in a neurotypical environment.
