Hello and welcome,

I’m hopeful that by reading through my profile that you’ll find a good fit with me as your therapist.

Whatever brings you to my profile, I’m hopeful that I can help you through it by working together to address any struggles or challenges you may be facing. I am a warm, friendly person and I bring this approach to my work as I believe it’s so important to find a therapist that you connect with, feel comfortable with and can trust, and being personable is a hugely important factor to me, whilst also being open and honest.

I currently offer both online and telephone appointments on a Monday and Tuesday evening. If you’d like to book in for an initial consultation to make sure I’m the right therapist for you, please book via your Kiku account or by contacting our friendly Admin team.

Therapy with me...

I’m a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor with many years of experience, working with a range of issues and I use a variety of approaches and theories in my work. I really enjoy Transactional Analysis as an approach, as well as combining humanistic, integrative and person-centred approaches. I also offer a practical life coaching service.

It’s helpful to work together to create a “coping toolkit” with practical strategies you can use when difficult times arise, as well as talking therapy, where we can really dive into what may be going on for you and try to find ways to understand yourself and what’s happening in your life.

I will be there by your side as we work through your struggles, listening carefully and connecting with you with empathy to guide you. I’ll celebrate your successes and be there with you when times are tough. I hope that with me as your therapist, you’ll feel understood and listened to and I really hope I can be a support for you.

Experience

I have a broad range of experience, working in various settings. As well as private practice with The Clearing, I have worked in the NHS primary care services as a counsellor in a GP practise. I have also worked in the charity sector, particularly with SEND, to support families and also with a charity specialising in sexual abuse. I have also worked with the emergency services to provide mental health support for staff. Therefore my experience is rather varied and I've therefore gained a lot of experience working with various personalities and issues.

As well as being a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, I also have an undergraduate degree in Psychology as well as being a registered member of the BACP.

Areas of Expertise

I have worked with a huge range of struggles and issues over the years. This includes (and is not limited to) supporting people who have struggled with: depression, anxiety, bereavement, stress, relationship problems, workplace problems, self-esteem issues, pre/post natal depression and anxiety, fertility issues, trauma, abuse and many other individual struggles.

My particular specialities are working with people who are diagnosed or going through the diagnosis process for ADHD and/or Autism.
I also have a huge passion for working with people impacted by pre or post natal depression and anxiety and supporting new parents, as well as supporting people going through fertility struggles or loss through termination or miscarriage.

I really hope I can help support you through whatever challenges you're facing right now. Through an initial consultation, we will be able to chat about what you're going through and ensure I'm the right therapist for you.
