I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor, trained in a variety of theories and techniques, including Transactional Analysis, Person-Centered Therapy and Gestalt. I also offer a Life Coaching service.

I work holistically and integratively, combining tools from many different approaches to help you form a better understanding of yourself and your struggles, and to also develop a “coping toolkit” with practical strategies that you can use when hard times hit.

As your therapist, I'll be right there beside you, guiding you on your way, listening carefully & putting myself in your shoes, so I can truly understand your story on a deep level. In a safe & non-judgemental space we will explore your thoughts, feelings & experiences, celebrate your triumphs & lean in to understand your pain.

Experience

I have a wealth of clinical experience, having worked for a number of years in private practice, for mental health charities and in NHS primary care services.

Throughout my time in practice, I have offered both short and long term counselling to clients who have faced a variety of issues, such as depression, anxiety, stress, bereavement and loss. I have also worked with clients who have struggled with suicidal thoughts, self-esteem issues, trauma and more. I also specialise in working with those who have faced pre-natal or post-natal depression or anxiety, particularly working with new mothers and fathers, as well as those who have experienced pregnancy loss.

As well as my qualification in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, I also have an undergraduate degree in BSc (Hons) Psychology and I am a registered member of the BACP.

Areas of Expertise

I have extensive experience in working with a variety of issues, such as low mood; depression; anxiety, including panic attacks; bereavement and loss; self-esteem and confidence struggles; stress; trauma.

My particular area of expertise and interest is working with those who have faced pre-natal or post-natal depression or anxiety, particularly working with new mothers and fathers. I have also worked with individuals who have experienced pregnancy loss through miscarriage and termination.
