Hello...

I’m an integrative, attachment-based counsellor offering a calm and supportive space for individuals and couples. I work in Plymouth and online across the UK with adults aged 18 and above. My approach is grounded in helping you feel safe enough to explore your thoughts, feelings and patterns at your own pace.

Outside of my work, I really value time outdoors, walking on Dartmoor, being by the sea, and spending time with my family. These moments help me to slow down and stay grounded, something I also bring into my therapeutic work.

Therapy with me...

Therapy with me offers a steady, non-judgemental space where you can begin to understand yourself more deeply. I work relationally and at a pace that feels manageable for you, without pressure to share more than you are ready to. Together, we may explore patterns in your relationships, emotional responses and past experiences, helping you make sense of how these show up in your life today.

Where helpful, I can also bring in psychoeducation, alongside practical tools and techniques, to support your understanding and give you something to take away from our sessions. This might include developing awareness of attachment patterns, emotional regulation, or ways of responding differently to difficult situations, always tailored to you and what feels most supportive.

Experience

My career began as a learning disability nurse, working closely with individuals and families in complex and emotionally demanding situations. This developed my ability to remain calm, present and supportive alongside distress. I qualified as a counsellor in 2020 and have since worked with a range of emotional and relational difficulties. I have also previously managed a small counselling agency, strengthening my understanding of safe and effective therapeutic practice. I now work with adults and couples, offering a reflective and supportive space for growth.

Areas of Expertise

I work with a range of concerns including anxiety, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, emotional overwhelm, attachment patterns and the impact of trauma. I have a particular specialism in attachment, exploring how early relational experiences shape the way we connect with others, manage emotions and respond within relationships. I support individuals and couples to understand the emotional needs and protective strategies that sit beneath conflict or disconnection, helping to create greater awareness, security and connection.

If you need a specialist, I am able to offer therapy to people who are affected by Neurodivergence
