Hi there! I’m Trudy. I have been a counsellor for around 11 years. My style is empathetic, nurturing and empowering. I have trained in person centred, psychodynamic and EFT therapy
My specialism is working with individuals that have experienced complex trauma.

I work to create a trusting connection between myself and the people I work with, I believe the relationship you have is the key to getting the most from your therapy journey.
In the first few sessions we get to know each other, explore if we are a good fit and then build on that relationship to create psychological safety.
I work hard to create a space free from judgments but at the same time encourage honest communication between us.

Experience

I have worked in a variety of environments with many different presenting problems with people from all walks of life, for over 11 years. I have my own regular therapy to ensure that I can be the best version of myself when working 1-1 with individuals

Areas of Expertise

My areas of particular expertise are with childhood trauma, sexual abuse, domestic violence, substance misuse and addiction. I work with and am proud to be part of the LGBTQ community

If you need a specialist, I am able to offer therapy to people who are affected by Neurodivergence, Personality Disorder, Learning Disability, Psychosis, Schizophrenia
