Hello...
Common Ground is a small, intentional therapy practice built on one belief — that good support is collaborative, non-pathologising, and human-to-human. We grew out of Tayler Remi Therapy, an established individual practice, in response to a simple problem: good therapy is hard to find, especially for people who are neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, or carrying complex trauma that doesn't fit neatly into standard approaches. Common Ground brings together carefully chosen practitioners who already work this way — not people we've trained into it, but people who share these values from the start. We offer two services: psychotherapy for deeper, exploratory work, and The Clearing, a practical, therapeutic support service for people ready to move from insight into actual change.
Therapy with us...
Every practitioner at Common Ground is chosen for how they actually work, not just their qualifications. We don't sit above clients with a clipboard — we sit with them. Sessions are relational, honest, and collaborative, with full respect for autonomy and pace. Trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming, and LGBTQ+ inclusive practice runs through everything we do — by design, not as an add-on. You won't be passed to whoever has availability; you'll be matched to someone who genuinely fits what you need, or supported to choose for yourself. Nothing you bring is too much, and you're never reduced to a diagnosis or a presenting problem.
Experience
Our practitioners hold qualifications including BACP, UKCP, or NCPS registration, and maintain external clinical supervision and professional indemnity insurance. Collective experience spans NHS services, private practice, family courts, social care, and community mental health — including over 30 years of frontline experience within our Therapeutic Support team. All practitioners work under the clinical oversight of Tayler Remi, an integrative psychotherapist (BSc, PgDip, GMBPsS, MBACP). The practice is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office and follows the BACP Ethical Framework throughout.
Areas of Expertise
We specialise in working with people who are often underserved by traditional therapy — neurodivergent adults (autistic, ADHD, AuDHD) navigating burnout, masking, and late diagnosis; LGBTQ+ and GSRD clients seeking genuinely affirming, non-pathologising support; and people carrying complex trauma, relational trauma, and the long aftermath of difficult childhoods. We also work with BPD and EUPD — both directly and with partners, parents, and family members — alongside relationship breakdown, narcissistic abuse recovery, parenting neurodivergent or complex children of any age, postnatal experience, menopause, and high-functioning burnout. Across all of this, our focus stays the same: meeting people who haven't always felt understood, with practitioners who genuinely understand them.

Approaches Offered
Our practitioners draw on relational and person-centred therapy, somatic and body-based approaches, EMDR, IFS-informed parts work, compassion-focused therapy, and polyvagal-informed pacing. Each practitioner brings their own training and modality, but the same relational, trauma-informed values run through all of it — moving at the pace of your nervous system, not the pace the world expects of you.
